How are you?
In Daḳota, if you have met someone before, you can ask them "Toked yauƞ he?" It is strange to ask how someone is if you have never met them before.
In English we use it everyday and sometimes, it is used for small talk. In Daḳota though, when you ask someone how they are, you mean it.
Toked yauƞ he?
How are you? (How is your state of being?)
Taƞyan wauƞ do.
I am fine (my state of being is fine)
Taƞyan wauƞ ye.

Taƞyaƞ wauƞ ṡni.
I am not fine (could be sick not feeling good)

Mataƞyaƞ.
I am fine well.

Waṡte
Good

Taƞyeḣ wauƞ.
I’m very fine.

Wamayazaƞke
I’m sick.

Wamatuka
I’m tired.
